A Day at NUST

A blog regarding a regular day at NUST:

Introduction:

My name is Ashbal Atif, and I study Computer Science at SEECS. My blood type is B+, and I welcome you to my blog. I start my day by taking a shower, eating breakfast and getting ready for school. Studying at NUST can get pretty hard, so it's very important to be well-rested and have a hearty breakfast in the morning. After departing from my hostel, I finally reach the SEECS Campus.

1. A Building from Down Low

Here's a photo of the building, and while it may look a little imposing, I can assure you that studying there isn't like that (most of the time at least).

2. Rule of Thirds with something Blue

After arriving at my class, I take a seat and start studying effectively (lie). After a few hours though, all your energy starts to trickle away and you start getting sidetracked. My eyes started wandering and I began to admire a view from the window of my classroom looking out at the courtyard. The scenery looks great here, especially when you have to sit through hours of lectures.

3. Rule of Thirds with something Yellow

I got tired of being inside, so I decided to go down to the garden? yard? for lunch and got a great photo opportunity there. The garden looks great at this time of day, and it feels very refreshing to take a short walk there.

4. Leading Lines I

The leading lines greatly enhance the photo and really bring your attention to the main focus of this image, which in this case is my bag.

5. Leading Lines II

During my lunch break, I decided to walk along Scholar's Avenue. A great photo opportunity reared its head again, so I decided to take another photo. The leading lines really focus your attention on a specific object, which in this case is the NUST head office.

6. Vertical Portrait

7. Horizontal Portrait

These are the photos I took of my friend Hussein Ahmad, and I would like to thank him for taking the time to pose for the photos.

8. Creative Self-Portrait

This is a self-portrait I took of myself, in front of a warehouse of sorts? I'm actually not too sure what it was, there were large pipes and valves, and I saw a large container labelled Sulfuric Acid, so I decided not to stay there too long.

9. [ Fill The Frame ]

This is honestly my favourite picture, the flower had some really eye-catching colours, and the lighting conditions and orientation were perfect as well. All in all, it culminated into a great ending photo.

Comments

  1. I think that for your first pic regarding the leading lines, you should've picked some other hallway or something like that cz it makes them more prominent, I think that entrance to seecs which we use would do good .
